Relph Confident and Reset for WorldWCR’s French Debut at Magny Cours

Australia’s Tayla Relph is ready to hit the track this weekend (5 to 7 September) as the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship [WorldWCR] heads to France for the first time in its history.

The Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours will host Round 5 of the 2025 season, the penultimate round, as the fight for championship positions intensifies.

Relph enters the weekend sitting 10th in the World Championship standings with 51 points, but remains firmly in the hunt for a Top 6 overall finish, with just a handful of points separating.

“This summer break has been exactly what I needed,” Relph said.
“I have been riding nearly three days a week over the past month, and I finally feel like I am getting back the confidence I lost after my crash at Donington. We have worked hard on building trust again in the front end of the bike, and it has been such a positive feeling to rediscover that.”

The previous round at Hungary’s Balaton Park brought mixed fortunes for the Australian. After a crash at Turn 5 ended her Race 1 early, she recovered to finish 11th in Race 2, keeping herself in touch with the championship battle.

To prepare for Magny-Cours, Relph and her Full Throttle Racing Team completed four days of testing at the French venue. Although rain affected the first half of the schedule, the latter days proved valuable, with Relph quickly finding her rhythm and pace.

“Testing here went really well overall. Even with the rain cutting some sessions short, once the track dried, we got up to speed quickly,” she explained.

“That gives us confidence heading into the weekend. Magny-Cours is a technical track with a mix of hard braking zones and fast flowing sections, so it is going to be a real test over 11 laps, but I feel ready.”

With momentum building and only two rounds remaining in the season, Relph is targeting a strong showing to close the gap on the championship’s front runners.

“We are still in the fight for the Top 6, and with two strong results here in France, that is a very realistic goal. It is exciting to come to a new circuit for all of us, and I am looking forward to making the most of it.”

WorldWCR riders will take to the Magny-Cours circuit for Free Practice and Superpole on Friday, followed by Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday, as the championship heads into its crucial final stretch.

This round, we are also proud to introduce our exclusive helmet sponsors. A huge thank you to Tim Scriven’s from Scriven’s Racing, Blue Marlin Pools East Racing, Café Niguel, and S1000K Racing for coming on board. Their logos will be featured loud and proud on Tayla's helmet from Free Practice onwards.
